The Winery sits in the hills of North San Diego County, and from the moment you arrive, it feels like you’ve stepped into another world. With stone buildings, vine-covered walls, old olive trees, and rows of grapevines stretching out, it’s as if a bit of Italy has found its way to Southern California.
For couples who love both elegance and a welcoming atmosphere, few places compare. Jessica and Jack felt that immediately. Their black-tie celebration in a setting that felt like a Tuscan estate was bound to be special, and it truly was.

Jessica’s dress was a sleek halter with an open back and a floating cape, and she looked incredible. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful, mismatched garden-party-inspired dresses that worked very well together. Meanwhile, the guys were equally sharp with black tuxedos across the board, clean and classic.

A winery in full bloom makes a first look feel naturally cinematic. Ivy-covered walls, iron doors, and sunlight filtering through the garden create a perfect backdrop. Sharing that private moment before the ceremony, just the two of them, is one of the special gifts a first look brings to a wedding day.

Monserate’s outdoor ceremony lawn is surrounded by old trees that form a natural canopy. The aisle was lined with lush flowers in the day’s chosen colors. Cream and deep jewel tones looked beautiful against the warm stone, lasting from the ceremony through the night.

The reception at Monserate feels magical in its own way. Guests walked on cobblestone, with the estate building glowing as evening fell. Long dinner tables were covered in white linen and decorated with flowers matching the ceremony’s colors. The arrangements, set at different heights with tall glass hurricanes and taper candles, ran the length of the tables. Grapes tucked among the flowers were a lovely nod to the vineyard.
Speeches brought on laughter and happy tears, while the garden glowed softly around them. The night was full of special moments with friends and family, ending with a lively dance floor.

“We were lucky enough to squeeze in an engagement session with her while visiting my parents for the holidays and it was such a sweet glimpse into her craft; she is so skilled at capturing candid love, but also has a knack for stopping you within your natural movement to get the shot you need (bc let’s be honest, few of us are naturals behind the camera).
Fast forward to the wedding day…her passion continued to meet the moment. She executed flawlessly and seamlessly, all while managing to keep us ahead of schedule. And I got every “must have” shot I wanted. It was also incredibly important to us that our vendors contribute to the day rather than appear cumbersome…she interacted effortlessly with our family and friends when needed.
Following the wedding, she has remained so gracious and patient as I’ve asked questions that she has answered before. I’ve attached some of her work so it can speak for itself. I’ve told her before, but I’ll tell her here again — she will be taking our milestone photos for as long as she’s available ❤️”
